Polish rider Filip Maciejuk will leave Bahrain Victorious for BORA-hansgrohe in 2023.

The 24-year-old has signed a one-year contract with the German team, having raced for Bahrain Victorious since 2022.

Maciejuk is a versatile rider who can perform well in both classics and stage races. He finished 12th at the 2022 Amstel Gold Race and 14th at the 2022 Tour of Lombardy. He also helped Bahrain Victorious win the team classification at the 2022 Vuelta a España.

In a statement, Maciejuk said: “I am very happy to join BORA-hansgrohe next year. I would like to develop further in the classics and stage races. I know that this will be possible in a team with such big names.”

BORA-hansgrohe is one of the leading teams in the world, with riders such as Peter Sagan, Maximilian Schachmann and Wilco Kelderman. Maciejuk is expected to play a supporting role for the team’s leaders, but he will also have the opportunity to race for himself in some races.
