Loe Van Belle Excited to Race Alongside Vingegaard in 2024

Loe Van Belle is thrilled to be moving up to the Jumbo-Visma WorldTour team in 2024, where he will have the opportunity to race alongside cycling superstar Jonas Vingegaard.

Van Belle, along with teammates Johannes Staune-Mittet and Per Strand Hagenes, will make the jump from the Jumbo-Visma Development Team after gaining valuable experience competing at the highest level.

The young Dutchman is confident that the transition to the WorldTour will not be too daunting, having already had the chance to train and race with the team’s elite riders.

“Riding with the WorldTour guys is an experience that no one can take away from me,” Van Belle said. “It makes you want more. Fortunately, it will happen more often in the years to come. As the team has allowed us to get used to racing at the highest level, the last step is probably not that high.”

Van Belle is eager to make his mark on the WorldTour stage and is excited to learn from Vingegaard and the team’s other experienced riders.

“I think it’s a great opportunity to learn from the best riders in the world,” he said. “I’m really looking forward to it.”

With his impressive talent and positive attitude, Van Belle is poised to make a significant impact on the Jumbo-Visma WorldTour team in the years to come.

Loe Van Belle cycling History

Loe van Belle (born 24 January 2002) is a Dutch professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI World Tour team Jumbo–Visma. He is a versatile rider who is capable of winning both sprint and climbing races. Van Belle has been racing since he was a child and has been through the development program at Jumbo-Visma since 2021. He made his professional debut in 2022 and has since won several races, including the Tour du Pays de Montbéliard and a stage of the Flanders Tomorrow Tour.

In 2023, van Belle had a breakthrough season. He won the Ster van Zwolle and finished third in the Giro del Belvedere. He also had a strong showing at the Tour de l’Avenir, finishing second in a stage. Van Belle’s performances in 2023 earned him a promotion to the Jumbo-Visma World Tour team for 2024.
