Léo Bisiaux, a young French cyclist, has signed a new contract with AG2R Citroën Team, the UCI WorldTeam. He will join the team’s continental team in 2024, after completing his junior career.

He had a strong second half of the 2023 season, winning several major races. He says that it was important for him to perform well at the junior level before moving up to the espoir category.

A promising rising star

Bisiaux is excited to stay with AG2R Citroën Team, a team that he has been with since the U19 level. He says that the team has a good system for developing young riders, and that he is looking forward to racing with the WorldTeam in the future.

He says that he immediately wanted to stay with AG2R Citroën Team after his junior contract expired. He says that the team has a good system for developing young riders, and that he is excited to continue his career with them.

Bisiaux also says that he believes it is important for young riders to spend at least one season in the espoir category before moving up to the professional level. He says that the espoir category is a good place for young riders to develop their skills and strength before making the step up to the pros.

  • Giro della Lunigiana 2023: He won the general classification and the stage 3 of this race in Italy.
  • Eroica Juniores — Nations’ Cup 2023: He finished seventh in the general classification and eighth in the points classification of this race in Italy1. He also won the stage 2 of the Eroica Juniores — Coppa Andrea Meneghelli, a one-day race that was part of the Nations’ Cup.
  • European Continental Championships JR — Mixed Relay TTT 2023: He was part of the French team that finished third in the mixed relay team time trial at the European Championships in the Netherlands
