Caja Rural-Seguros RGA extends contracts
The Spanish ProTeam cycling team has announced the renewal of two of its riders, David González and Michal Schlegel, for two more years. They will join six other riders who have already extended their contracts with the team for the 2024 season.
González and Schlegel’s achievements
The two riders have shown their solidity and talent in the 2023 season. González won his first professional race in July, a stage of the GP Torres Vedras in Portugal. Schlegel finished fourth overall in the same race and also performed well in other events such as the Tour of Slovenia and the Tour of Austria.

Caja Rural-Seguros RGA is a Spanish professional cycling team that was founded in 2010. The team is sponsored by Caja Rural, a Spanish savings bank, and Seguros RGA, an insurance company.
The team’s roots can be traced back to 1988, when Caja Rural first sponsored a professional cycling team. The team disbanded in 2006, but was revived in 2010 as a UCI Continental team.
Progression to Professional Continental Status
In 2016, Caja Rural-Seguros RGA was granted a UCI Professional Continental license, which allowed them to compete in more prestigious races, including the Volta a Catalunya and the Vuelta a España.
The team has enjoyed a good deal of success in recent years, winning numerous races and consistently ranking among the top teams in the UCI Europe Tour.
