Arnaud Démare to return on 2024 Tour de France
Arnaud Démare, who has been absent from the Tour de France in 2022 and 2023, has announced his intention to return to the “Grande Boucle” in 2024.
In an interview with the Team Arkéa-Samsic website, Démare said: “My goal will remain the one that has always rocked my competitive life: to go on this magnificent event with the ambition to win a stage, and if this goal is achieved, I will not deprive myself, if I have the opportunity, to win others.”
Démare is one of the best sprinters in the world, and he has won four stages of the Tour de France in his career. He was also the green jersey winner in 2020.
However, Démare was not selected for the Tour de France in 2022 or 2023, as his team opted to focus on other riders. He is now back in the frame for selection, and he is determined to make the most of his opportunity.
“I am very motivated to return to the Tour de France,” he said. “I know that I have the potential to win stages on this race, and I am determined to prove it.”
Démare’s return to the Tour de France will be a welcome boost for the race, and he is sure to be one of the main contenders for the green jersey.
